The Top 10 Miami Restaurants According to Scott Conant

By Carla Torres for Ocean Drive

With all that Scott Conant has going on—celebrity chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, husband, father of two—it’s a wonder that the charismatic and witty Chopped judge still finds a way to bring something more to the table. Case in point: Scarpetta’s shared dining experience dubbed the family table.

Every Sunday, Scarpetta is dishing out a four-course, family-style Italian feast, and though menu selections rotate week after week (think eggplant ravioli, burrata, porchetta, whole-roasted Cornish hen), the one constant is Conant’s 30-pound timpano. The traditional dish boasts layers upon layers of ziti sandwiched between a plethora of hard and soft cheeses inside a pastry crust and baked to utter perfection. Wheeled tableside and sliced to order, it’ll satisfy any and every craving for the week ahead. “Everything that is good and right with the world is in here,” says Conant.

Still hungry? We asked Conant where he goes to satisfy his own cravings when he’s in town.
