This time of the year can be a bit overwhelming. Maybe you don’t want to cook at home with the entire family and you would rather just go out to a family dinner, or maybe just keep it low key. I have listed a few spots you can check out for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as well as some yummy seasonal cocktails you should also try!

 

The Trapiche Room

On Christmas Eve from 6-10:30pm they will be serving a special holiday menu prepared by Chef Alex Paz for $70/person. For the first course you can expect an amber jack crudo pickled pumpkin; second course you will have a beets and eggs cypress grove goat cheese salad; third course will be a goose and lamb roast with spiced pecan and yukon puree, ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, and vegetables; and lastly, a Trapiche Christmas tree, which is a chocolate Christmas tree, with chocolate soil, evergreen essence, eggnog ice cream, and mint macaroon.

 

La Mar

From 6pm-11pm on Christmas Eve parties of four or more can enjoy an incredible sharing-style Peruvian meal at La Mar, featuring treasured holiday recipes from our chefs’ families. Dishes include Cebiche Mixto, King Crab Causa, Whole Cornfish Hen, Arroz Arabe and Warm Chocolate Tart. The dinner is $70/person, $35/child 6-12, and complimentary under 6.

Then Christmas Day from 12pm–3:30pm you can enjoy a spectacular Peruvian brunch at La Mar by Gastón Acurio with gourmet brunch items including stations of cebiches, tiraditos and grilled anticucho skewers. Guests will enjoy Chaufa Aeropuerto for the table, as well as choice of specialty dish such as Egg-topped Lomo Saltado, served alongside refreshing beverages such as Chicha Morada. Decadent dessert towers will provide the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The meal is $85/person, which includes champagne and unlimited brunch cocktails; $120/person, which includes premium entrées, including unlimited Charles Heidsieck champagne, $35/per child ages 6–12, and complimentary under 6.

At the Aventura location on Christmas Eve, for $79/person you will get 1 glass of Chandon, and a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring items such as Carpaccio de lomo, Costillas de Cordero, and Bombon de Coco y Chocolate. The kids menu is $35/person and it features items such as Entranita or Ravioles Cuatro Quesos accompanied w/ ice cream, drinks and Christmas treats

On Christmas Day for $49/person you will get 1 glass of Chandon, and a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring items such as Tartar de Salmon, Sea bass with quinoa salad, and Bombon de Coco y Chocolate. The kids menu is $35/person featuring items such as Entranita or Ravioles Cuatro Quesos accompanied w/ ice cream, drinks and Christmas treats.

At the Brickell location on  Christmas Eve for $79/person you will get a 1/2 bottle of wine, and a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring items such as Camarones Tempura, Branzino, and Pavlova. The kids menu is $35/person featuring items such as Entranita or Ravioles Cuatro Quesos accompanied w/ ice cream, drinks and Christmas treats.

On Christmas Day they will be serving brunch and Parrillada Argentina to share 12pm-4pm.

At the Midtown location on Christmas Eve for $79/person you will get a 1/2 bottle of wine, and a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring items such as Mozzarella de Buffala, Grilled beef tenderloin, and Tartaleta de Fruta. The kids menu is $35/person featuring items such as Entranita or Ravioles Cuatro Quesos accompanied w/ ice cream, drinks and Christmas treats.
SUGARCANE Raw Bar & Grill

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, SUGARCANE will celebrate with festive a la carte specials (priced between $10-$34) in addition to their signature all day menu. The a la carte specials will include Fire Roasted Oysters, Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Warm Chocolate Flourless Cake.  Reservations are encouraged.

 

SUSHISAMBA Coral Gables

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, SUSHISAMBA Coral Gables will feature fusion delights such as Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Seco de Carne and a Christmas Roll, as well as their Sesame Sour cocktail. Reservations are encouraged.

Here you can get a whole roasted suckling pig carved and served tableside with yuzu-honey sweet potatoes, sake braised swiss chard and crispy bok choy with apple blossom.  Following your meal, enjoy your choice of two of our signature desserts served family style!  This menu is$169/group (5 person max). As part of their “Christmas Eve To Go” dinner menu, enjoy a Cochinillo Iberico Asado, a Whole Blackfoot Suckling Pig from Spain served with Patatas Panaderas y Ensalda.  10 lb. (serving 10 guests) $300/ Over 10 lb. (serving 10-16 guests) for $360.

 

La Feria Del Mercado De San Miguel

For Christmas they will have a special menu for $55/person ($200 for a table of 4) that includes: an Iberian ham plate, traditional seafood and fish soup, roasted octopus with seasoned potatoes and a crispy pimenton, wood fire roasted cochinillo, and assorted Christmas sweets.
