Recap: Let’s Noodle on It With Goodtella and Pubbelly

t had been a while since we last visited the original Pubbelly on Miami Beach. We’ve spent most of our time at Pubbelly Sushi and Pubbelly Station as of late (mainly because they’re way closer to us). This past week, our good friends at Goodtella hosted an event at the O.G. location, and things have changed a lot in the year since we last dropped in.

First of all, it’s no longer just Pubbelly — say hello to Pubbelly Noodle Bar. Don’t worry: The place looks the same and your favorite items (including the veal brains) are still on the menu. But alongside those staples, you’ll find lots of noodz. Noodles have always been part of the PB menu, but now they’re at the forefront. If you missed the Goodtella event — “Let’s Noodle on It” — you missed one heck of the menu. Guests could choose from eight different noodle dishes:

 

PB Original Ramen
Lemongrass broth, BBQ pork belly, poached egg

Local Shrimp Yakisoba
Suquet, garlic confit, broccoli rabe, black garlic

Udon Bolognese
Veal, kimchee, chiles, ojinguchae

Short Rib Pho
Aromatic beef broth, bean sprouts, lime, jalapeno

Wild Mushroom Ramen
Dry shitake, ramps, Sichuan oil

Cold Daikon Noodles
Tuna tataki, red beet amazu, black truffle, zucchini

Jenny Mama Carbonara
Udon, smoked bacon, Parmesan broth, peas

Caldo de Pollo Con Mofongo
Chicken broth, culantro
